The TP002SP0.6 Extra-Slim 0.6mm Transverse Probe is extra thin for small gaps. The probe is more delicate because of its extra slim size, but perfect for difficult access applications. The TP002SP0.6 can be used with GM08 and GM07 Gaussmeters. The probe comes as standard with a 1.5m cable and calibration certificate.

Why Choose the Extra-Slim Transverse Probe?

The Transverse Probe is suitable for a wide range of applications where magnetic field strength or magnetic flux density needs to be measured in gaps less than 1mm. The location of the sensor allows the probe to be orientated to the magnetic field as shown in the diagram. The Transverse Probe is for readings within the range of 0- ±3.00 mT to ±3.00 T or ±30.00G to ±30.00 kG.

The sensor is located within the black area towards the end of the probe. The closer this is to the source of the magnetic field, the more accurate the readings.

About the Extra-Slim Transverse Probe

The TP002SP0.6 is an active semi-conductor Hall element which incorporates a focusing magnetic circuit. This magnetic circuit focuses the magnetic flux experienced by the probe in the Hall element to offer a significant boost in sensitivity.

Although the Ferrite magnetic circuit does exhibit some hysteresis over the operating range, this effect is minimal, typically less than ±0.2%.
