The sensor is located within the black area towards the end of the probe. The closer this is to the source of the magnetic field, the more accurate the readings.

About the High Sensitivity Transverse Hall Probe

The TP002 HS is an active semi-conductor Hall element which incorporates a focusing magnetic circuit. This magnetic circuit focuses the magnetic flux experienced by the probe in the Hall element to offer a significant boost in sensitivity.

Although the Ferrite magnetic circuit does exhibit some hysteresis over the operating range, this effect is minimal, typically less than ±0.2%.
